How to Rock Your Brand Like a Boss

It’s simple! Get clear on your heart mission. Your heart mission is a statement that identifies who you are, what you do, why you do it and how you do it. This will serve as your “home base” whenever you are facing any business decisions. Curating your Instagram feed, writing blog posts and deciding the layout of your print collateral will be much easier when you have a guideline to fall back on. As your brand grows, your heart mission may change. Revise your statement whenever necessary to make sure your business goals are being met.

Here’s an example of a mission statement that shines:

“We were founded with a rebellious spirit and a lofty objective: to offer designer eyewear at a revolutionary price, while leading the way for socially-conscious businesses."

Any guesses who this is? If you said Warby Parker, you’re right! I love the phrase, “rebellious spirit.” Show off your personality in your heart mission and use adjectives that make sense to you and your target audience.
